As the automotive market has evolved with the impact of the EV, electric vehicle, from Tesla and other manufactures, it has included retrofitting vintage cars to accommodate electric engines and components.

 

Scarab Motorsports is developing a totally new electric Scarab which will  be introduced  in 2021.  

 

The motor will be a Tesla 500 horsepower engine and component package supplied by EV West of California.

The body design will be identical to the original Scarab but will be a Carbon Fiber composite with aluminum body option, complete C7 suspension system with 13 inch rotors and 19 inch wheels. Redesigned frame for easier access and a modern custom interior.  0-60 under 3 seconds. Driving range from 250-320 miles based on  driving style.
